Going for Wood

As a baseball enthusiast, I have recently been asked to be the assistant coach of this little league team in my small town. It was a dream coming true for me, after spending almost all my childhood life playing baseball. I have also been in the varsity during high school, so baseball was definitely in my veins. To be able to coach a team for something I have always loved to do is just absolutely great. I don’t even feel like it is work at all.

There are a lot of things that need to be worked up on for the team, but the coach and I were willing participants to assist them in their journey. We started them off by training with their hits and getting on some running to improve their endurance. For these trainings we would use wooden baseball bats as it is much lighter and allow the kids to exert more effort in hitting the pitch. I am happy to have been blessed with this job, and I could not wait for my team to get better and make it to the finals!
