tarnished (well worn) baseballFor quite a few years now, steroids have been used by several players in the “big leagues” with some pretty amazing results. The most obvious are all the tape-measure home runs that fly out of every ballpark in the majors. You have to wonder what players like Hank Aaron, Roger Maris, Babe Ruth, and other players who hit them without the use of steroids would think of them.

Goose Gossage watched Mark McGwire’s televised confession and thinks that there is no place for these guys in the Hall of Fame. If all it takes is a little swat of a baseball bat to send a lazy fly ball into the seats when you are on steroids, then that just isn’t right. Even worse, what kind of a message are we sending to the youth?
