Royals Kauffman StadiumThe Kansas City Royals had planned on a much better 2009 season than their dismal 65-97, tied for last place in the American League Central, record ended up. Early in the year, they were off to an 18-11 start being three games in first place when all the injuries began. All it takes is a few injuries and a lack of production from a key player or two and bingo-last place!

If second baseman Alberto Callaspo can learn to keep a baseball in his Wilson baseball glove, that would make his .300 batting average even better. Also, if the Royals can manage to stay healthy as a team, they would definitely make some noise in the AL Central. This 2010 Royals team isn’t as bad as their ’09 record indicates…
