200 is Uncertain Year for Boston

David OrtizThe Boston Red Sox finished 2009 in second place in the always tough American League East with a record of 95-67 and a wild card spot, only to go three and out to the Angles. The year before, it took Boston seven games to lose to the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALCS, so the Red Sox are going in the wrong direction in the post-season.

The A.L. East looks to remain tough in 2010, and if the Sox want to get back to the World Series, they will have to step it up a notch or two. Off season trades will play a big part in the future such as will David Ortiz and his “booming” baseball bat still be the Red Sox DH? As this blog is being written, (not posted) Jason Bay is rumored to be traded to the Mets. It will be an “interesting” winter in Boston…
