Pitching 200 Priority for Brewers

Miller ParkThe Milwaukee Brewers had a so-so year in 2009 finishing third in the National League Central, with a record of 80-82. Sporting a record of 40-41 both at home and on the road, it doesn’t seem to matter much where they play! If the Brewers could have won two out of three at home, they would have finished in first place in the NL Central.

Could they do that in 2010? Well, they do have a young, aggressive team that’s not afraid to run, and their baseball bats have made some noise, but it would take more pitching to get them there. General manager Doug Melvin has said they will be looking for pitchers in the free agent market along with possibly trading for a high-salaried pitcher. If things work well for the Brewers in the off season, those cool Milwaukee nights could be a whole lot hotter next season…
